We are a nonprofit 501(3) group of volunteers dedicated to making our library system and its programs the best they can be.  Anyone who enjoys the pleasure of a good book or the myriad of benefits and services of the library should be a friend.  Our non-profit tax ID is 23-7098721.

We partner with library staff to sponsor:

​

  • Entertainment, education, and connection for local communities through book clubs, lectures, storytimes, movie nights, and crafting classes.

  • Internet and technology access, computer literacy skills, and support for individuals, businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs.

  • Conversation clubs in Spanish and English for adults learners and bilingual storytimes for children.

  • Give away books for children to keep and cherish.  Last year over 1500 new books were given to children in partnership with First 5 Marin.

  • On the Wall Art lending programs.

  • The Shop at South Novato, with hands-on learning and activities for all ages.

Book Donation Info​

 

We are always in need of gently-used materials to keep our selection fresh. We are in particular need of the non-Fiction categories: History, Biography, Military, Science, etc. However, we ask that you check the Donations Guidelines before packing your donation, as many categories have limits (such as, nothing published more than 5 years ago). We accept donations on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 10am-4pm, at our large rollup door behind the store. Pull into the parking lot and look for us, where we’ll quickly screen your donation and provide a receipt if you like. If you are donating more than 2-3 bags/boxes, please phone ahead (415-209-0212) to check if we have room to take your donation, or if you have questions about anything you wish to donate. Thanks in advance!
