The Friends of the Marin County Free Library grossed $21,987.22 at the Super Sale the last weekend in March 2009. Teen programs at the county's branches are a key recipient of this year's proceeds.
The Friends also thank Trader Joe's for supplying bags for the event, and Starbucks for a coffee donation for the early morning shoppers.
Every one of the 35,000 donated books was sold either at the sale or at post-sale arrangements other other entities, so none was discarded.
